-Yes cali I think you are right, they are genius
For me, it was Led Zeppelin at the Oakland Coliseum. And I saw them on their "good" day. God damn did they suck. If it weren't for Rick Derringer on the bill, the day would have been a total waste.

people say I am quiet, weird, awkward some what funny guy but I am not really the most happy guy and to be honest not much of these bands are from this decade
ok for some people you think i am a punk from some of the bands but I don't know how Classic Rock makes you a Punk and I don't know if you can see some the rappers/rap groups on this list
Another challenge for the old geezers and their kids evidently!!! Part I might have been too easy. First one with all of them wins points. Not that the points matter!
Have fun.

Walrus, ya came in second again!!!
This stuff must be too easy.
Walrus, yes, Jerry Garcia was known for the Dead. However, the Dead wasnt on the list of bands!!!
See what I did there???
You are worthy of the name The Walrus my friend!!!

So what do you think?
Ahh Forgot to add some more
Killsbury you should know that the section of questions is on Rock and Pop
Alexander Ovechkin to Rick Derringer's "I'm a Real American"?
I mean come on.. it couldn't get any more epic than that.
Sean Avery's? Oh without a doubt... George Therogood - Bad to the Bone!
Your thoughts?
LOL! Jaromir Jagr - "Leaving on a jet plane"
LOL ! Leafer!
Oh goodness.. I thought this question would get more attention.
Bob -- Haha, I'm from Pittsburgh! And, that movie The Wrestler looks incredible. January 23rd in theaters! Anything by that director is amazing.
Electrichead64 can back me up on this one.
I long time ago I use to work at Jezebel's Night Club (R.I.P Its been shut down for a long time now). Out back was a trailer that was used as a dressing room/ hang out for "National Acts."
The one rule was that each band member had to sign any of the walls.
Heres a small list of who signed..Metallica (Cliff Burton), Sound Garden, Ted Nugent, DRI, Savatage,Danzig, COC, Racer X, Kings X, Lita Ford, Ozzy,Black Oak Arkansas,Rick Derringer, Michael Monroe(Hanoi Rocks), and a lot of others and I mean ALOT more bands signed the inside of that trailer.
I was talking to my friend who was the promoter and I asked him about the trailer and he said that it was against city ordernance and the owner sold it and the buyer "PAINTED OVER THE AUTOGRAPHS!!!"
A few of my friends say its no big deal but I think otherwise. What do you think?
MQ-
Electrichead64If you answer this Q, please feel free to add some bands that I missed
I forgot Dream Theater signed it as well
Edgar Winter
Johnny Winter
Ozzy didnt perform at Jezebel's. His wife, Sharon, was managing a band called 'The London Quireboys" and they played Jezebel's as a warm up show before they opened for Aerosmith. We had Ozzy sign the trailer because....well he's Ozzy =) (Thats how I got to meet Ozzy as well. I was the barback and was pouring Ozzy and Sharon their water because they were standing right in front of me ))
vgordon_90 - Thats actually a great idea. Theres a guy who is posting videos on Youtube that were taken at Jezebels. I'm gonna shoot him an e-mail to see if he has, or knows the were abouts to any photos
Do any of you know or remember Rick Derringer?
He was the singer for the 60s band the McCoys who had the hit "Hang On Sloopy", and he worked with Edgar Winter and had some hits, that he was responsible for , such as "Rock n Roll Hootchie Coo" and "Free Ride"?
Even though The McCoys work was slightly cheesey , and so was his 70s stuff, I still like him for some reason!!
Pick one out of the three in each three sum.

I think you all know what I am asking, but I did not make it super clear, I want the best singer.
Who sings lead on this song? Dan Hartman or Rick Derringer?
Would you agree that the songs on this list were the best Hard Rock/Arena Rock songs of the 1970s? Would you take away or add any to this list?

2. Edgar Winter Group-"Free Ride"
3. Ram Jam-"Black Betty"

Can anyone confirm this?
Why yes, yes it is. Why would he work there.
I like Rock & Roll, Bluegrass, R&B, Soul, and lots of other stuff. What is your preference ?
Oh yeah, the blues rock me too. Some jazz also, and,a little classical. I love Canon, in D minor, Oh my God, how beautiful is that ?
And Frank Zappa, who defies all description. Black Napkins, good Lord. And so many more.
Rick Derringer ? Suicical Tendencies ?
How about Johnny Winter ? Or, the Stones, Bob marley ?
Oingo Boingo, Boomtown Rats., and several others I can not remmember at the moment.
What do you think ? What do you feel ?
How about Jethro Tull, one of my favorites, no doubt.
And The Beatles, of course. The list goes on and on.
Oh, and, Bob Dylan, Knockin on Heavens Door, The Mighty Quinn, All along the Watchtower, and so many more. Done by him, done by others, yes.
Ok here it is THIS IS NOT BECAUSE ROXEL JUST DID THIS I've been working on this list for a week.

I feel stupid for leaving quiet riot and alice in chains, but twisted sister only had one big hit so they weren't on here. Dang I feel stupid! Oh well... and also, Pantera is on there.
Oh man! I coulda sworn I put REM on here! Dang! I'll revise this thing, though.
Whatever happened to Rick Derringer?
"Rock N Roll Hoochie Coo" ~ by Rick Derringer OR "Rock N Roll All Night" ~ by KISS?
Something else??? =)
I've always loved the variety of studio guitarists used by Fagan & Becker, but I'm not always certain who played on which tracks. I know Walter Becker did the solos on Black Friday and Bad Sneakers, and a few others. I'm reasonably certain about the soloist(s) on most of these, but please feel free to offer any corrections/suggestions, as well as your own favorites (whether you know the guitarist or not)...
Reelin' In the Years- Eliott Randall
Bodhisattva- Denny Dias/ Jeff Baxter
King Of the World- Larry Carlton maybe?
My Old School- Jeff Baxter
Rikki, Don't Lose That Number- Rick Derringer? (I know the song was named for him)
Kid Charlemagne- Rick Derringer
Don't Take Me Alive- Steve Lukather? Derringer?
Josie- George Benson
FM- is this also Benson?
Peg- Jay Graden
Below is a list of some of the artists/bands on my iTunes so that you can have an idea of what I like. As you can tell, my taste is very diverse. But please keep in mind when making suggestions that I have thousands upon thousands of CDs and albums and that these artists are just a few compared to the rest...thanks!

I think Ringo and Collins are overrated.Collin's got the pipes, but he's not the best drummer
...the mystery band only released one album, produced by Rick Derringer. Name the guitarist and the band!
No, it's not ZZ-Top, and 'Brownsville Station' are from Ann Arbor Michigan. I can see how their name might have fooled you though!
Though formed and based in Texas, two of the members were transplanted Floridians.
I am a big fan of music. I also like a fairly wide variety. Though, I'm not really into the newer mainstream stuff. I despise rap (no offense meant) and the rock which is labeled "emo" (again, no offense meant). Here is a list of the musicians on my iTunes library. However, this list doesn't even compare to the bands/artists in my CD collection. But, if there is a band or artist that you think I may not have and think I would like, please say so! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Right up front, I do not like bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco or any of the sort. So please do not suggest them.

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone can help me pick out a song for my guitar class final. My teacher said it can be chords or tab....or a mixture. I haven't been playing very long so something fairly simple. You can either email me the music, post it here, or give me the website....thanx! here is the list the music I like off my myspace page:
Garth Brooks, Joe Diffie, Alan Jackson, Alabama, George Strait, Brad Paisley, Diamond Rio, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Deep Purple, Tim McGraw, Alison Krauss, Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Kiss, Jack Ingram, AC/DC, Ronnie Bowman, Pink Floyd, Little Big Town, Aerosmith, John Anderson, Rick Derringer, Chris Young, Alice Cooper, Lonestar, Nazareth, Jason Aldean, The Eagles, Travis Tritt, ZZ Top, War, Craig Morgan, Cheap Trick, Josh Turner, Led Zeppelin, Foghat, Blake Shelton, Queen, John Mellencamp, Molly Hatchet, Blue Highway, The Beatles, Johnny Cash.....
i'm looking for vinyl or a bootleg recording of a band from the early 70's called Tin House they were produced by rick derringer.
in 1977 in oakland,ca. judas priest, rick darringer, opened up for led zepplin. rick played a song called rockin roll hoochie coo.ohh,by the way judas priest got booded off the stage that day.
I am looking for the title i need type into iTunes to get the actual introduction theme song, not the original Rick Derringer version
rate these bands for me
i'd give motley crue a 10

when i made a list like this i had 66 bands on there
i don't think i got them all
i generally hate everything after 1993
i was also born in 1993
some bands you might have never heard of before
Your guess was right! "Weird Al"! But you should have just let me think you were a genius! LOL!
Who are the brothers, and what was each of the brother's bands.
Come on, guys, I know someone knows it! If you don't get it soon, I have a great clue I'll give ya!
You're right, except it was the "Edgar Winter Group"! Good job! The clue I was gonna give was that they were albinos.
What, no Derringer fans out there? Come on! I will give a clue if I don't get an answer soon!
That's right, the McCoys, Good job!
